Cookie & Analytics Notice — AccLyf Client Portal

1. Overview

This notice explains the technologies AccLyf uses to operate the Portal, remember your preferences, and — with your consent — collect anonymized analytics. We have designed the Portal with your privacy in mind: we use no advertising technologies, no third-party tracking cookies, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.

Essential technologies are required for the Portal to function securely and cannot be disabled. Optional analytics are off by default; you can enable them if you'd like to help us understand how the Portal is used.

3. Essential Technologies

Essential technologies are required for the Portal to operate securely. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality:

Supabase authentication cookies (sb-*): These cookies maintain your signed-in session. Without them, you cannot access your workspace, and the Portal cannot verify your identity securely. They are set when you sign in and cleared when you sign out.
Sidebar preference (acclyf:sidebar-collapsed): This browser localStorage entry remembers your sidebar layout preference between sessions. It contains no personal information and is never transmitted to any server.
Analytics consent preference (acclyf:analytics-consent): This browser localStorage entry stores your choice of "Allow analytics" or "Essential only" so we can respect your preference across sessions without asking repeatedly. It contains no personal information and is never transmitted to any server.

These technologies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Optional Analytics

If you choose "Allow analytics," we enable Vercel Analytics — a cookie-free analytics service provided by Vercel, Inc. Here is what Vercel Analytics does and does not do:

No cookies: Vercel Analytics sets no cookies in your browser.
No personal data: Vercel Analytics does not collect your name, email, account details, or any information that identifies you as an individual.
No cross-site tracking: Vercel Analytics does not track your activity on any other website.
No advertising: The analytics data is not used for advertising or shared with advertisers.
What it collects: Anonymized, aggregated page-view data — which pages were visited, in aggregate, and technical information such as browser type and country (not IP address). AccLyf sees only aggregate statistics, not individual user journeys.

The default is "Essential only." Analytics are never loaded unless you explicitly select "Allow analytics."

5. Managing Your Preferences

You can change your analytics preference at any time:

Click the "Privacy choices" link in the footer of any AccLyf page. This reopens the consent notice, where you can select "Allow analytics" or "Essential only."
Clearing your browser's localStorage (via your browser's settings or developer tools) removes all stored preferences and resets the Portal to the default state: essential only.

Essential authentication cookies are managed by your browser and are cleared when you sign out of the Portal or when your session expires.

6. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Cookie & Analytics Notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date and version number at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you through the Portal or by email.
